Private Lessons
The lessons are customised depending on your level of English and your learning style. They are assessed during the first lesson. I also take into account your interests and objectives. This is the reason why you are asked to fill in an in-depth questionnaire. They are student-centered classes as opposed to teacher-centered. I am facilitating your learning by giving you tasks to practise your skills in English. I am eliciting rather than giving you the answers. This is very effective for you to make significant progress.
Content
The tuition is always based on speaking practice. Depending on your objectives, there will be a mix of listening, videos, vocabulary, language study, pronunciation, and writing exercises. You can also expect games or role-plays with one goal in mind to give you many speaking opportunities.
For young learners, I integrate games, videos and we also read books. The lessons are fun and adapted to the age of the student so that they can gain confidence in speaking English.
Materials
All materials are provided. I use published materials from books, the British Council, the BBC, Onestop English and many more. You are also welcome to bring your own materials such as emails, presentations, or homework. I can select authentic articles from magazines or websites and YouTube. I use Camtasia to film speaking tasks so we can correct and reformulate your language. The tasks are varied and challenging but always adapted to your level of English. You will also have access to a learning platform to practise in between lessons.
